Vehicle/Faculties Maintenance Technician & Back-Up Driver (Full Time)

Moses Lake Transportation Department is looking for one Full Time candidate for their transportation center. (Job Description)

Summary: Ensures the timely and cost effective maintenance of agency vehicles and equipment by performing routine maintenance, minor repairs and scheduling outside maintenance activities. Performs general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds. Provides back-up paratransit driving and occasional dispatch/scheduling duties.

Educational/Work Experience Requirements
· High School diploma or GED.
· Must have valid Washington driver’s license including CDL with proper endorsements (for fixed route service). CDL requirement may be extended for first four weeks of employment if driver possessing a CDL is not available for hire.
· Washington state required automobile insurance.
· Must successfully pass physical examination as required for Department of transportation and overall driving fitness.
· Must have a minimum of five years licensed driving experience.
· Must have no moving traffic violations in the past three (3) years AND no involvement in any at-fault accidents within the past five years as evidence by a current driving abstract. Abstract dated no more than one month prior to hire date must be provided by applicant.
· CDL Preferred. Must be capable of obtaining the required Commercial Driver’s License with proper endorsements as the need arises.

Other Requirements: This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
· Employment is contingent upon successfully completing and passing a Federal Transportation Administration Pre-employment Drug Screen. Safety sensitive employees will be required to submit to random drug/alcohol testing as well as for cause, post-accident, and follow-up testing as mandated by US Department of Transportation FTA 49 CFR Part 655. Refusal to submit to drug and alcohol testing will be treated as a positive test result(s) and considered grounds for disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
· Employment is further contingent on successfully passing a Washington State Patrol Background Check and/or National Background Check, and a Reference Check.
· Reliable transportation to and from work.
· Telephone or other reliable communication device, such as a cell phone or pager.
· Accurate time piece (watch, etc.) carried at all times while on duty.
· Proof of Personal Vehicle Insurance.

Fixed Route Driver - Wenatchee-Quincy (Part Time)

Moses Lake Transportation Department is looking for two Part Time Drivers for a fixed route from Wenatchee to Quincy and back, twice daily, Monday through Sunday.

Provides driving duties for the general public for fixed scheduled routes from Wenatchee to Quincy and back twice daily, Monday thru Sunday. Responsible for the efficient and safe operation of passenger vehicles under varying traffic and road conditions; for transporting passengers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner; for properly collecting all authorized fares and donations; for maintaining complete and accurate documentation of services performed; and for promoting and maintaining positive and professional relationships with passengers, other employees, and the general public

PARATRANSIT AND FIXED ROUTE DRIVER IN YAKIMA, WA

General Summary:
This position provides driving duties for Paratransit routes (seniors & disabled), and/or Fixed routes for the general public on community coordinated transportation programs.

Essential Function and Duties:
1. Safely drives assigned routes and specialized trips as scheduled.
2. Assists Senior citizens and/or persons of special needs in and out of vehicles as required and insuring they are properly accommodated, in order to assure their comfort and safety.
3. Maintains appropriate records as required.
4. Attends drivers’ meetings and training sessions as required.
5. Performs daily check of vehicles for safety and preventative maintenance as directed by the Driver Supervisor.
6. Cleans and maintains vehicle during shift.
