The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Adult Program provides workforce investment
activities that increase the employment, retention, and earnings, and increase
occupational skill attainment by participants, leading to economic
self-sufficiency.
Eligibility
You may be eligible for the adult program if you are 18 years of age or older,
low-income, experience barrier(s) to employment (high school dropout, individual
with disabilities, offender/ex-offenders, low basic skills, single parent,
limited English skills, Receiving TANF, just to name a few); and are anxious to
learn a job skill and complete the program. Priority of service is given to
veterans and spouses of veterans. Males born after December 31, 1959 must be
registered for selective service. www.sss.gov/
Considerations are also made for people seeking careers in high demand
occupations such as health care.

- Tuition Assistance
- Work Experience
- On The Job Training
- Job Placement Assistance
- Emergency Support Service necessary to complete training and/or remain
employed.
- Follow up counseling and support for 1 year after employment
