Adult Program – Workforce Investment Act

PRIORITY OF SERVICE TO VETERANS  Click here for more information

The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Adult Program provides workforce investment activities that increase the employment, retention, and earnings, and increase occupational skill attainment by participants, leading to economic self-sufficiency.

You may be eligible for the adult program if you are 18 years of age or older, low-income, experience barrier(s) to employment (high school dropout, individual with disabilities, offender/ex-offenders, low basic skills, single parent, limited English skills, Receiving TANF, just to name a few); and are anxious to learn a job skill and complete the program. Priority of service is given to veterans and spouses of veterans. Males born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for selective service.
