Dislocated Worker in Kittitas county This program falls under the Workforce Investment Act funding umbrella and is available to Kittitas County residents through the People For People office located in the Ellensburg WorkSource Center. Services focus on those who have lost jobs due to plant closures, economic downturns, the diminishing timber industry, or job loss due to downsizing. This program assists those unlikely to return to the same vocation and offers retraining, placement services, retention services and relocation assistance for labor force re-entry. In 2000-2001, People For People served 35 dislocated workers in Kittitas County who received the full array of services, resulting in an average placement wage of $10.61 per hour.
